About the role:
We are seeking an experienced school psychologist who is fully bilingual in French and English to join our wellbeing service team. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide best-practice support, guidelines and interventions as well as developmentally appropriate counselling for students at all school levels (Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary school levels).
Provide support for teachers in the management and assessment of student learning, behaviour and wellbeing concerns.
Work with parents or guardians to provide guidance and support in understanding and managing their child’s social, emotional and learning needs.
Desired Skills and Experience
About the ideal candidate:
Relevant qualifications and AHPRA registered psychologist.
Practical experience working with children and young persons of all ages in a school environment would be advantageous.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in French & English
Understanding of child protection legislation and guidelines as it applies to schools.
